Men's Tennis Blanked 9-0 by Visiting Roger Williams
MILTON, Mass. – Visiting Roger Williams defeated Curry, 9-0, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men’s tennis match Saturday afternoon in Milton. The Hawks improved to 8-5 overall and remained unbeaten in league play at 5-0. The Colonels fell to 3-9 overall and 0-5 in CCC action.

Roger Williams took care of business in all three doubles matches. The pair of Kevin Erikson and Jason Pacino defeated Tyler Collins and Charlie Paltsios, 8-4, at #1. Zack Bussiere and Eric Laboissonniere handled Toma Blatchford and Rob Knight, 8-3, at #2. Finally, the duo of Kyle Bull and Eric Bott cruised past Eric Hellberg and Jonathon Schutzman, 8-1, at #3.

The Hawks were equally efficient in all six singles matches, winning each in straight sets. Bussiere downed Collins, 6-0, 6-0, at #1; Taylor Webster swept past Blatchford, 6-0, 6-0, at #2; Ryan Swanson took care of Paltsios, 6-0, 6-0, at #3; Jonathan Chandler knocked off Joe Berger, 6-0, 6-1, at #4; and Jonah Schwartz defeated Knight, 6-0, 6-0, at #5.

The closest match of the day came at #6 singles, where Andrew Amarone needed a second-set tiebreaker to put away Lucas Donaway, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3).

Roger Williams is back in action on Tuesday traveling to Eastern Nazarene for a 3:30 p.m. conference match. Curry resumes play on Monday, hosting Lesley in a non-conference match at 3:30 p.m.
