Men's Tennis Cruises Past Johnson & Wales, 8-1, in Non-Conference Action

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College defeated visiting Johnson & Wales, 8-1, in non-conference men's tennis action Thursday afternoon in Milton. The Colonels improve to 2-9 on the season, while the Wildcats fall to 1-5.

Curry broke on top 3-0 after the completion of doubles play. Tyler Dulmage and Tyler Collins handled John Sepowitz and Jesse Wils, 8-1 at #1; J.D. Moyer and Charlie Edlund knocked off Todd Zimmerman and Drew Pontillo, 8-0 at #2; and Robert Rosenbaum and Thomas Bagley outlasted Brian Martens and James Klapper, 9-7 at #3.

The Colonels cruised to easy singles wins at Nos. 1-5, with Dulmage defeating Wils, Edlund taking care of Zimmerman, Moyer knocking off Pontillo, Collins handling Cummings, and Rosenbaum outlasting Sepowitz. It was at #6 singles where the Wildcats picked up their only point of the day, a 7-5, 6-1 win by Martens over Bagley.

Curry is back in action on Friday, hosting Endicott at 3:00 p.m. The Wildcats will return to action on Saturday when they travel to Norwich for a 1:00 p.m. contest.
