Bagley Picks Up Lone Point As Men's Tennis Falls at Gordon, 8-1

WENHAM, Mass. - In The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) men's tennis action today, the Fighting Scots dominated the visiting Colonels of Curry College, 8-1, to improve to 8-6 overall, 4-3 in conference. With the loss the Colonels fall to 1-9 overall, 1-7 in the TCCC.

After completing the sweep in doubles play, the Scots went on to claim victory in each singles match but No. 6. Gary Gaudio (Jr./Miller Place, N.Y.) gritted out a first-set 7-5 win before cruising 6-2 in the second at No. 1. Carl Quinion (Sr./Westerville, Ohio) was the only singles winner to battle through three sets, claiming a 5-7, 6-3, 10-4 win over Curry's Charlie Edlund (Sr./Hanover, Mass.). Kenny Gaudio (Fr./Miller Place, N.Y.) and Eric Musser (Jr./Lake Grove, N.Y.) claimed 6-3, 6-2 and 6-4, 6-3 wins in the No. 3 and No. 4 slots, while Nate Musser (So./Madison, Wisc.) cruised 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5. Curry's lone win of the day came from Thomas Bagley (Jr./Centerville, Mass.) at No. 6 singles, who bested Gordon's Josh Cornwall (Sr./East Berlin, Conn.), 6-7, 6-1, 10-4.

The Scots are back at it tomorrow as they travel to Salve Regina for a TCCC matchup at 4:00 p.m. The Colonels will return to play tomorrow as they host the TCCC's Endicott at 3:30 p.m. (Match recap courtesy of Gordon College Sports Information)
