Fernando Valencia served his first season as Curry's volunteer goalkeeper coach in the fall of 2022.

Before Curry, he most recently served as assistant coach for Fisher College for nearly two years until 2021.

Valencia was an assistant coach at Tufts University for four seasons, leading the Jumbos to Division III National Championships in 2016, 2018, and 2019. In addition to the three national titles, Tufts won two NESCAC Tournament crowns and the staff was named Division III Coaching Staff of the Year by the United Soccer Coaches in all three National Championship seasons. Tufts completed the 2019 season with a 20-2-2 overall record, the most single-season wins in program history.

Additionally, Valencia serves as a coach for the Elite Player Pathway, is a member of the RDS technical staff, and has been a scout and goalkeeper coach for the New England Revolution Academy since August 2014. He has also been a goalkeeper trainer for the New England Futbol Club (NEFC) since July 2019.

He is the CEO and Founder of Valencia International Business Inc., a global resource for soccer development.

For nine seasons he was Director of the Real Madrid Soccer Academy of the Americas in Miami, founder of the Goalkeeper Academy, and the Director of International Summer Camps from 2012 to 2017.
