Men’s Soccer Suffers Loss After Late Hartford Goal

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. - A late goal by the University of Hartford propelled the Hawks to a 1-0 Commonwealth Coast Conference victory over the Curry College men's soccer team Tuesday night at Al-Marzook Field.

With the loss, Curry drops to 6-4-3 overall and 1-2-2 in conference play.

Lucas Drons (Bellingham, Mass.) led the Curry attack with four total shots while Ean McGonigle (Rehoboth, Mass.) finished with three shots, two of which were on goal. Giovanni Martins (Brockton, Mass.) and Adam Pforr (Weymouth, Mass.) also finished with three shots.

Curry took 18 total shots, five of which were on target compared to a total of 11 shots for Hartford.

Nathaniel Sama (Tiverton, R.I.) played the entire game in net for the Colonels, finishing with seven saves.

Curry College returns to action on Saturday (10/14) in a road matchup against Suffolk beginning at 12 p.m.
