Men's Soccer Bested by Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Curry College men's soccer team was defeated 1-0 in non-conference play against Springfield College Tuesday night at Brock-Affleck Field.

The only goal of the game was scored by Springfield in the 32nd minute of play by Ryan Berecz. He was assisted on the play by Connor Policarpio.

Justin Ritz (Carver, Mass.) played the entire game in goal for the Colonels, making six saves in the loss. Curry totaled six shots throughout the game, with three being on target. The Colonels also had six corner kicks throughout the contest compared to four by Springfield.

Curry College (2-1-1) returns to action in the first conference game of the season on Saturday (9/16) in a road game against Western New England University. Kickoff is slated for 2:30 p.m.
