Men's Soccer Silenced by Suffolk

EAST BOSTON, Mass. - The Curry College men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 Commonwealth Coast Conference loss to Suffolk University at East Boston Memorial Park.

With the defeat, Curry's four-game winning streak comes to a close and the Colonels drop to 9-5-3 overall on the season and 4-3-1 in conference play. 

Suffolk received a pair of goals from Nigel Leo in a span of just 3:35 midway through the opening half that served as the contest's only tallies. 

Curry held an advantage of 12-9 in the match's shot count, including an 8-2 edge in the second half, but could not break through. Tom Bennett and Alfredo Serrano Figueroa combined for four saves for the clean sheet for the Rams.

Junior Kyle Tremblay (Methuen, Mass.) made one save in Curry's defeat, and was credited with his fifth loss of the season.

Curry will close out its 2021 regular season on Tuesday afternoon when the Colonels host CCC foe Gordon College at Walter M. Katz Field. Kick-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
