Men's Soccer Stumped by Plymouth State

PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The Curry College men's soccer team was doubled up by Plymouth State University 2-1 Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action at Arold Field.

With the loss, Curry drops to 5-4-3 on the season, while Plymouth State moves to 1-7-0.

Freshman Evan Lemon (Guilford, Conn.) provided Curry's only tally, scoring his first collegiate goal in the 38th minute. The rookie took a feed from junior Richard Savage (Rye, N.Y.) off a free kick and deposited it low to the short side to even the score at 1-1 late in the first half.

Plymouth State would score the game-winning tally in the opening minute of the second half, and Curry was unable to find the equalizer for the remainder of the contest.

Curry netminder Kyle Tremblay (Methuen, Mass.) made three saves in the losing effort for the visitors, dropping his goalkeeping record to 4-4-3 on the season.

The Colonels will be back in action on Saturday for a CCC contest at Western New England. Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m.
