MILTON, Mass. – Curry College senior goalkeeper Brian Newsome (Lawrenceville, N.J.) has been named as CCC and ECAC "Defensive Player of the Week".  Newsome made 10 saves in 110 minutes of play in a 1-0-1 week for the Colonels, posting a goals against average of 1.07. His standout performance of eight saves on the road against regionally-ranked CCC opponent Roger Williams helped the Colonels earn a 1-1 tie. The matchup was the Hawks’ first conference tie of the season.

Curry College freshman midfielder Nick Gilman (Longmeadow, Mass.) has been named as CCC "Defensive Player of the Week".  Gilman tallied two assists in a 1-0-1 week for the Colonels, including an assist on the tying goal that eventually tied-up a 1-1 game against Roger Williams.
