Men's Lacrosse Season Ends in CCC Playoffs

Bristol, RI - The Curry men's lacrosse team fell to Roger Williams on Saturday in the first round of the CCC playoffs, dropping the game 12-6. The Colonels end the season at 4-14, while the Hawks move to 13-4.

The two teams traded goals throughout the first quarter, as the Hawks struck first, but after each goal the Colonels answered. Dom Cerone, Brody Dalzell, and Mac Kline each scored, in that order. The Hawks found some space in the second, outscoring the Colonels 3-1, with Dalzell getting the lone Curry goal. It stood at 6-4 Hawks at halftime.

The Hawks furthered their lead in the third, scoring the first two goals of the half to go up 8-4. After Cerone and Stephen Stackhouse each scored to draw the Colonels back within two, the Hawks found the back of the net with 12 seconds left in the quarter to go up 9-6. They would then pull away in the fourth, scoring all three goals of the period to win 12-6.

Along with his two goals, Cerone also led the team with four ground balls. Joey Pinto and Will Karszes each had three caused turnovers. Evan Falandys made 12 saves in net.
