Men’s Lacrosse KOs Fighting Scots

MILTON. Mass - Curry College defeated Gordon College on Senior Day by a score of 17-4 in a Commonwealth Coast Conference men's lacrosse gamer at Walter M. Katz Field. With the win, the Colonels improve to an overall record of 4-12 and a conference record of 2-5.

Curry jumped out to a 3-1 lead by the end of the first quarter with Albie DiBella, Alex Ripa, and Pat Modoono scoring to give Curry a three-goal lead before the Fighting Scots finally got on the board to close out the first. Brody Dalzell scored his first of five goals in the second quarter, leaving the score at 4-2 heading into halftime.

The Colonels' offense exploded in the third quarter scoring five goals throughout the period to zero by the opposition. Dalzell scored two quick ones to earn the hat trick in the first four minutes of the period. Mac Kline joined the list of goal scorers followed by two more from Dalzell to close out the third.

The Curry offensive barrage continued into the fourth with the Colonels scoring eight more times in the quarter. Stephen Stackhouse scored twice, Ripa, Kline, and Dom Cerone scored once, while Chise Silva, Nicholas Cole, and Zac Robinson added to the onslaught. From the end of the second to the last five minutes of the game, Curry scored 12 unanswered goals.

Evan Falandys picked up the win playing the majority of the game for the Colonels, finishing with six saves.

Curry College closes out home competition with today's game and gears up for a final regular season road game against Hartford on Tuesday, April 23rd, beginning at 3:30 p.m.
