Men’s Lacrosse Halted by Hawks

BRISTOL, R.I. - Curry College opened up Commonwealth Coast Conference play with a 20-8 loss against Roger Williams University in a men's lacrosse game at Bayside Field.

The Colonels scored the game's first goal when Connor Bryant found the back of the net unassisted to give Curry a 1-0 lead with 11:32 on the clock in the first quarter. Stephen Stackhouse (Hopewell Junction, N.Y.) was next to score with a man-up goal to tie the game at 2-2 with five and a half minutes remaining in the first. Alex Ripa (Middletown, R.I.) scored another unassisted goal halfway through the second, the team's only goal in the second.

Stackhouse assisted Mac Kline (Essex, Conn.) on a goal to open up scoring just 23 seconds into the third quarter. Bryant scored his second goal of the game just four minutes later, with the assist coming from Dom Cerone (Hanover, Mass.).

Bryant opened up scoring in the fourth with his second goal of the game followed by a pair of goals by Cerone to cap off scoring for the Colonels.

Curry College returns to action on Tuesday, April 2nd, with a home contest against the University of New England beginning at 7 p.m.
