Men's Lacrosse Defeated by Cardinals

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Curry College was defeated 11-4 by The Catholic University of America Saturday afternoon in non-conference collegiate men's lacrosse action at Carlini Field.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 2-6 in non-conference play.

Curry's opening goal came with just under four minutes remaining in the first quarter. During a man-up situation, senior Dom Cerone (Hanover, Mass.) scored an unassisted goal to put the Colonels on the board.

Curry enjoyed a three-goal quarter in the second period of play, starting just 1:20 into the action when Cerone found Mac Kline (Essex, Conn.) who scored his 11th goal of the season to cut the Catholic lead to one (3-2). Senior Anthony Lewis was the next to score, once again receiving the pass from Cerone. The Colonels' final goal of the game arrived halfway through the second quarter Connor Bryant (Methuen, Mass.) tied the game at 4-4 with an unassisted score.

Curry Colonels begins Commonwealth Coast Conference play on Wednesday, March 27th, with a road match against Roger Williams, beginning at 7 p.m.
