Men’s Lacrosse Drops Season Opener Against Clark

MILTON, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 10-5 by Clark University on opening day of the 2024 men's lacrosse season Saturday morning at Walter M. Katz Field.

With the loss, the Colonels fall to an overall record of 0-1 on the season. Curry won't play a Commonwealth Coast Conference game until Wednesday, March 27th, against Roger Williams.

Junior Mac Kline (Essex, Conn.) first put the Colonels on the board with eight minutes remaining in the second period. He was assisted on the play by his classmate Brody Dalzell (Wrentham, Mass.). Dalzell was next up to score late in the second with an assist coming from senior Dom Cerone (Hanover, Mass.).

Curry scored once halfway through the third quarter when senior Albie DiBella (Norwell, Mass.) scored an unassisted goal to cut the Cougar lead to two (5-3).

Dalzell scored two more goals in the final quarter of play starting with an unassisted goal halfway through the period. Senior Anthony Lewis (Middletown, R.I.) set up Dalzell with only 25 seconds remaining to score the final Colonel goal of the contest.

Senior goalie Liam O'Neill (McMurray, Pa.) played the entire game in net for the Colonels, making a total of 12 saves.

Curry College returns to action on Wednesday, February 21st, to take on Sage in a home matchup beginning at 7 p.m.
