SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Curry College men's lacrosse has qualified for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship Tournament as the number four seed and will host fifth-seeded Nichols College on Saturday, April 27 at noon.
Western New England finished the regular season with a 12-5 overall record with an 8-0 mark in the CCC, earning the top seed in the field. The Golden Bears have earned a first-round bye and will await its next opponent following the quarterfinal games.
The other two quarterfinal matchups feature No. 7 seed Wentworth and No. 2 seed Endicott. The Leopards will travel to take on the Gulls on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The final contest pins sixth-seeded Salve Regina against three-seed Roger Williams in a game that will take place on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
The teams will be re-seeded after the first round with the lowest remaining seed traveling to Western New England, while the other two quarterfinal winners will face off in the second semifinal with the higher seed serving as the host. The semifinals will be held on Tuesday, April 30. Game times will be determined after the end of the first round.
The winners of the semifinals will meet in the CCC Men's Lacrosse Championship, which will take place on Friday, May 3. The winner will be named the CCC Tournament Champion and will receive the conference's automatic bid into the 2019 Division III Men's Lacrosse Championship.
