Men's Lacrosse Defeated 18-4 by Visiting Endicott College

MILTON, Mass.- Endicott College defeated Curry College 18-4 on Saturday in Milton.  With the win the Gulls improve to 10-7 overall and 9-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.  The Colonels fall to 8-8 overall and 4-6 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.

Endicott took an 8-3 half-time lead and never looked back as they outscored the Colonels 10-1 in the second-half for the 18-4 victory.

The Gulls outshot the Colonels 50-24 and had a 28-22 advantage in groundballs.

The Colonels were lead by sophomore Sean Gallagher (Topsfield, Mass.) who had two goals.  Sophomore Russell Lanham (Silver Sring, MD) and freshman Beau Kukura (Erie, Co) each chipped in with one.

Senior Jonathan Prentice (Chelmsford, Mass.) and sophomore Colin Prescott (Norwalk, CT) led the Gulls with four goals and an assist.  Freshman Brian Estes (Derry, NH) scored two goals and then seven other Endicott players scored one. Juniors Jack Curtis (Chelmsford, Mass.), Brendan McCarthy (Arlington, VT) and Kyle Jordan (Falmouth, ME), sophomores Sam Ozyc (Chesire, CT), Jon Thanas (Cumberland, RI) and Mike Morrill (Mansfield, Mass.) and freshman Connor McCormack (Norwalk, CT) each tallied one.

Sophomore Michael Hibbard (Chelmsford, Mass.) played in net for the first three quarters and made 12 saves allowing 16 goals and junior Gordon Holmes (Brookfield, CT) and freshman Timothy McGonagle(Concord, Mass.) split time in the fourth quarter both making two saves and allowing one goal each.  

In net for Endicott was senior Eric Hagerty (Sudbury, Mass.) who made 13 saves for the win. 

Both teams await to see who they will play in the first round of the TCCC tournament. The quarterfinals will be played on Saturday May 1 at the highest seed.
