Men's Ice Hockey Dominates CCC Weekly Awards

BIDDEFORD, Maine - Two Curry College men's ice hockey student-athletes swept the Commonwealth Coast Conference weekly awards, announced on Monday afternoon.

Sophomore forward Gage Dill (Estero, Fla.) earned his second Player of the Week Award this season after a four-point weekend in the Colonels pair of victories over Salve Regina. Dill had two assists in Curry's 6-1 road win on Friday, February 2nd. The following day, Dill had another assist and scored a goal to help lead the Colonels to a 4-0 shutout victory.

Men's ice hockey goalie Shane Soderwall (Algonquin, Ill.) earned his fifth CCC Goaltender of the Week award and fourth Rookie of the Week award. The freshman allowed only one goal throughout two wins over Salve Regina, making 30 saves in each game, including a 4-0 shutout against the Seahawks on Saturday. Soderwall's record improves to 11-2-0 on the season with a GAA of 1.34 and a save percentage of .953.

The Curry College men's ice hockey team has three games remaining in the regular season with the next matchup being on the road against Wentworth on Friday, February 9th, beginning at 7 p.m.
