Men’s Ice Hockey Defeats Endicott in Overtime

BEVERLY, Mass. - Curry College defeated Endicott College 2-1 in overtime Friday night in a Commonwealth Coast Conference men's ice hockey game at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

With the win, the Colonels improve to an overall record of 10-5-1 and a conference record of 6-3.

With just over two minutes remaining in the overtime period, sophomore Jesse Galassi (Lockport, N.Y.) received a pass from Austan Bellefeuille (Framingham, Mass.) and snuck the puck between the Endicott goalkeeper's legs to score the game-winner.

Senior captain Tao Ishizuka (Providence, R.I.) scored early in the first period to put the Colonels on top 1-0. Freshman Ryan Prewitt (Abington, Mass. ) and graduate student Austan Bellefeuille (Framingham, Mass.) were credited with assists.

Freshman Shane Soderwall (Algonquin, Ill.) earned the win in net for the Colonels, making 32 saves to help stave off the Gulls.

Curry College returns to the ice on Saturday, January 13th, in an away game against Albertus Magnus beginning at 4 p.m.
