Men’s Ice Hockey Leaves AMCATS Scoreless

PAXTON, Mass. - Four different Curry College men's ice hockey players scored in the Colonels 4-0 victory over Anna Maria Friday night in non-conference action at Horgan Arena.

With the win, Curry improves to an overall record of 8-3-1 while remaining 5-3 in conference play.

Sophomore Gage Dill (Estero, Fla.) scored first in the 11th minute of the first period to put the Colonels on top 1-0. Ryan Prewitt was credited with an assist on the goal. The second goal of the contest arrived just seven minutes later when sophomore Tyler Drummond (Baldwin, N.Y.) put the puck in the back of the net after receiving the pass from Cole Weinger (El Segundo, Calif.) and Tao Ishizuka (Providence, R.I.).

Sophomore Ben Biester (Danville, Calif.) scored the next Colonel goal halfway through the second. This time, Ryan Prewitt (Abington, Mass.) and Manny Cabral (Providence, R.I.) were credited with the assists.

The final goal was an empty netter scored by sophomore Taurin Haddon-Harris (Boca Raton, Fla.) with just two minutes remaining in the contest to give the game its final score of 4-0. Dill was credited with an assist on the play.

Freshman Shane Soderwall (Algonquin, Ill.) improved to a record of 4-1 on the year, making 39 saves in the win.

The Colonels have to wait nearly a month until returning to the ice on Tuesday, January 2nd, to take on Amherst College in a non-conference home matchup beginning at 3 p.m.
