HARRISVILLE, R.I. - The #15 Curry College men's ice hockey team defeated Nichols College 3-2 Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference action at Levy Rink.

With the win, the Colonels improve to 4-2-1 overall on the season, and 4-2-0 in the CCC.

Neither team found the back of the net until Curry sophomore Killian Rowlee (Fulton, N.Y.) put the visitors ahead just under six and a half minutes into the second period. Assisting on the play were Eelis Laaksonen (Espoo, Finland) and Tao Ishizuka (Providence, R.I.). Nichols knotted the score just 1:04 later, leveling the score at 1-1 headed to the third.

The Bison took the lead with 5:24 remaining on a marker from Zach Vandale, but Curry responded 1:15 later when Austan Bellefeuille (Framingham, Mass.) twirled a shot past the Nichols netminder to tie the score.

With 2:11 showing on the clock, Taurin Haddon-Harris (Estero, Fla.) gave Curry the lead for good when he deposited a George Vonakis (Abingdon, Md.) centering pass for the game-winning goal.

In net, senior Roland Polasek (Bor, Czech Republic) got the win, stopping 25 of the 27 shots he faced.
