Men’s Ice Hockey Skates Past Suffolk

CANTON, Mass. - Curry College men's ice hockey won its second straight game, defeating Suffolk University 4-0 in Commonwealth Coast Conference action.

With the win, the Colonels improve to an overall record of 3-1-1 and a conference record of 3-1.

Killian Rowlee (Fulton, N.Y.) had three goals throughout the contest to earn the hat trick. His first goal was scored with just over seven minutes remaining in the first period. He was assisted by Manny Cabral (Providence, R.I.) and Matt Connor (Nottingham, N.H.).

Rowlee scored again early in the second period during a power play, this time he was assisted by Taurin Haddon-Harris (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Nicolas Lariviere (Blainville, Quebec). Rowlee's final goal occurred in the final two minutes of competition. Assists were credited to Jesse Galassi (Lockport, N.Y.) and Nicolas Lariviere (Blainville, Quebec).

Curry's other goal was also scored during a power play by Eeli Laaksonen (Espoo, Finland). The goal was scored with just over three minutes remaining in the contest. Laaksonen was assisted by Tao Ishizuka (Providence, R.I.) and Ryan Prewitt (Abington, Mass.).

Roland Polasek (Bor, Czech Republic) played the entire game in net for the Colonels, making 17 saves in the win.

The Colonels return to action on Friday (11/17) to take on Nichols at home beginning at 7 p.m.
