SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – After finishing the regular season with a 17-7-1 overall record and an 11-6-1 mark in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC), the Curry College men's ice hockey team has earned the No. 4 seed for the upcoming CCC Championship Tournament. The Colonels will host No. 5 Nichols on Saturday, February 17 at 4:50 p.m.

 No. 6 Salve Regina finished the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's ice hockey regular season with a 14-2-2 (19-4-2 overall) record and 30 points in the conference standings to claim the Regular-Season Championship and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming CCC Championship Tournament.

The Seahawks, which are one of three CCC teams currently ranked in the national polls, sit at No. 6 in both the D3hockey.com Men's Top 15 and the USCHO.com Division III Men's Poll. They currently lead the league in goals against average (1.95) and third in goals per game (4.08). The regular-season champions have also picked up a number of big wins against other nationally ranked teams.

No. 8/9 Endicott, the inaugural CCC Men's Ice Hockey Tournament Champion from a year ago, enters this year's tournament at the No. 2 seed. The Gulls finished with a 13-4-1 CCC (17-5-3 overall) record and 27 points in the standings. They received the highest national ranking among CCC teams as they peaked at No. 2 in both polls earlier this year. No. 10 University of New England, owner of a 11-4-3 CCC (18-4-3 overall) record, is the third CCC team in the national polls and will serve as the No. 3 seed in the tournament as it collected 25 points.

Those three teams will serve as hosts for the CCC quarterfinals, which are scheduled to take place on Saturday, Feb. 17. Curry, which finished the year with 23 points at 11-6-1 in conference (17-7-1 overall) will host the fourth quarterfinal.

Top-seeded Salve will host No. 8 seed Western New England. The Golden Bears earned 10 points in the standings with a 4-12-2 CCC (9-13-3 overall) record. Endicott draws No. 7 seed Suffolk, which earned a 6-10-2 CCC (9-12-3 overall) record and 14 points. The start time for both games is still to be determined.

In the other two quarterfinals, UNE will host No. 6 seed Wentworth at 7 p.m. and Curry will host No. 5 seed Nichols at 4:50 p.m. Wentworth went 7-8-3 in the CCC (9-13-3 overall), while Nichols went 9-6-3 (14-8-3 overall).

After the conclusion of the quarterfinal round, teams will be re-seeded for the semifinals. The highest remaining seed will host the lowest remaining seed in one semifinal, while the second highest remaining seed will host the third highest remaining seed. The semifinal round will take place Saturday, Feb. 24.

The two semifinal winners will meet in the CCC Men's Ice Hockey Tournament Championship which takes place on Saturday, March 3. The CCC Tournament Champion will receive the conference's automatic qualifier into the 2018 NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Championship.
