Hockey Team's Second Annual Teddy Bear Toss a Huge Success

MILTON, Mass. - On Saturday, December 5, the Curry College Men's Ice Hockey team hosted their second annual "Teddy Bear Toss" for Team IMPACT, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of children facing life-threatening illnesses. The goal of the event is to collect teddy bears to donate to children suffering from illness. The event is organized primarily by Colonels Hockey players.

Attendees were encouraged to bring a teddy bear to the game or to purchase one at the door. When the Colonels scored their first goal, fans tossed hundreds of bears onto the ice. Over 250 bears were collected and will be donated to children this holiday season.

"I am extremely proud of the efforts of our entire team to put this event together. Particularly the group of Justin Nice, Jake Heisinger, Ryan Fitzgerald, Brett Sinclair, and Tyler Vankleef. These young men are a great example of citizenship and what Curry Hockey is all about". – TJ Manastersky
