Former Colonels Standout Kavanagh Named to SPHL All-Rookie Team

MILTON, Mass. – Former Curry defensive standout Mike Kavanagh (Little Neck, N.Y.) was recently named to the Southern Professional Hockey League's All-Rookie team.
 
Kavanagh played in 53 games for the FireAntz, and was called up to the ECHL for six games between the Orlando Solar Bears and Cincinnati Cyclones. Kavanagh scored 31 points for the FireAntz on four goals and 27 assists, and had a plus-22 rating. His plus-22 was third-best in the SPHL (the first in the league was his teammate, Derek Elliott, who also made the all-rookie team.)
