SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 91-50 by Western New England University in the quarterfinals of the Commonwealth Coast Conference playoff tournament Tuesday night at Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center.

The Colonels conclude the season with a final overall record of 11-15 and a conference record of 5-11.

The first half was all Golden Bears, outscoring the Colonels by a large margin in the first half. The lone bright spot for the Colonels in the half was Favour Okeke, who scored six points and hit his only three-pointer coming off the bench.

Curry fared slightly better in the second half but was unable to do enough scoring to overcome the large deficit.

Eleven different Colonel players scored throughout the contest, led by senior Nick Johnson (Athens, Ga.) with nine points, three rebounds, and four assists. Sophomore Mustafo Vanjov was productive off the bench, finishing with eight points, three rebounds, two steals, and a block in just 17 minutes of play. Graduate student Jonathan Joel (Cranston, R.I.) appeared in his 100th career game.
