Men's Basketball Ends Regular Season With loss at Suffolk

Boston, MA - The Curry Colonels fell on Saturday to the Suffolk Rams by a finals score of 72-59. The Colonels end the regular season at 11-14 and 5-11 in CCC play, while the Rams are 13-11 and 8-8.

It was a great start by the Colonels, getting out to an 8-0 lead three minutes into the game. But the Rams would slowly chip away, and eventually grab a 15-14 lead midway through the half. They'd go up by as many as 11, but a 5-0 run by the Colonels in the final minute made it 30-24 Rams at the break. The Rams would put the game out of reach with a 13-0 run to start the second half. They would eventually take the game 72-59.

The Colonels were led by Jason Romans' 17 points. He was the only Colonel in double-digits, but Nick Johnson had nine while both Lowelle Torres and Derrick Thomas had eight. Jonathan Joel, playing in his 99th career game, led the team with seven rebounds.

Up Next - The Colonels will travel to Western New England on Tuesday for the first round of the CCC playoffs. That game will start at 7:30pm.
