Men's Basketball Drops Game to Hartford

West Hartford, CT - The Curry Colonels fell to the Hartford Hawks on Saturday by a final score of 63-56. With the loss the Colonels are now 11-12, while the Hawks are now 7-16.

The Hawks got out to an early 12-2 lead, and were able to keep it throughout the first half, with the Colonels never getting closer than five. The Hawks led 30-21 at the break. The Hawks would continue to control the game through a majority of the second half. The Colonels would make a push late with a 9-0 run, but it wasn't enough, as the Hawks held on for the win.

The Colonels were led by Jason Romans, as he scored 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds while playing all 40 minutes. He was the lone Colonel to score in double-digits. Carl Monplaisir scored eight points off the bench. Jonathan Joel had seven rebounds to go with four points, two steals, and two assists.

Up Next - The Colonels will next play on Wednesday, as they celebrate their senior day against Endicott at 7:30pm.
