Men’s Basketball Knocked Down by Nichols

DUDLEY, Mass. - Curry College was defeated 84-67 by Nichols College Saturday afternoon in a Commonwealth Coast Conference men's basketball game at Nichols Athletic Center.

With the loss, the Colonels drop to an overall record of 5-2 and a conference record of 0-2.

Senior Lowelle Torres (Vineland, N.J.) and sophomore Jason Romans (Peabody, Mass.) combined for 22 of Curry's 42 first-half points, with Torres going 6-for-7 from the field and Romans knocking down two three-pointers to help establish a 42-37 lead heading into halftime.

Torres and Romans both finished with 16 points, while senior Nick Johnson (Athens, Ga.) had 13 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Sophomore Shawn Charles (Vero Beach, Fla.) finished with seven points and a team-high 10 rebounds.

Curry College returns to action on Tuesday, December 5th, hosting Roger Williams in a conference matchup beginning at 7:30 p.m.
