Men's Basketball Topped By Endicott

MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College men's basketball team suffered an 91-57 setback to Endicott College on Friday night at the Katz Gymnasium.

Billy Arseneault (Lynnfield, Mass.) and Matt McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine) each netted a game-high 16 points to lead the Gulls (5-1 overall) to its fourth straight victory. Griffin Curtis (Salem, N.H.)) and Louis Ellis (Lynnfield, Mass.) added 15 and 11 points off the bench, respectively, as Endicott shot 45 percent from the floor and held a 53-36 advantage on the glass.

Curry was led by sophomore Angelo Sardegna (Lutz, Fla.) who finished with nine points and four rebounds. Freshman Todd Robinson (Brockton, Mass.) tallied eight points, seven boards, and two assists. Each of the five starters registered at least six points. Sophomore Nick Johnson (Athens, Ga.) paced the scoring off the bench with seven.

The Gulls maintained control throughout the second stanza, shooting 46 percent from the field en route to a 51-29 scoring advantage. Johnson scored each of his seven points for the Colonels in the second half to pace the home squad.

Endicott saw its lead grow to as many as 36 (78-42) after Ty Vitko (Dover, N.H.)) converted two free throws with 6:55 to go in regulation. The Gulls held control for the remainder of the contest and would capture the contest by 34, 91-57
