Football Earns Six CSC Academic All-District Honorees

GREENWOOD, Ind. - The Curry College football team garnered six Academic All-District honorees on Tuesday afternoon, as announced by the College Sports Communicators.

Sophomore wide receiver Matthew Bowen (Mashpee, Mass.), sophomore defensive lineman Pete Jurovich (Winthrop, Mass.), and junior linebacker Adem Kica (Oxford, Conn.) all earn the recognition for the first time. Senior long snapper Joe Fusaro (Westerly, R.I.), graduate defensive back Kevin Peete (Boston, Mass.), and senior linebacker Michael Sims (Baltic, Conn.) all make the list for the second consecutive year.

The group joins 10 Colonel soccer student-athletes and three women's volleyball student-athletes who earned recognition from CSC in the past month.

Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District recognition by their athletic communications directors and must have a minimum 3.50 grade point average and meet high athletic standards.
