Corvese Earns All-New England Accolades

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior quarterback Alex Corvese (Cranston, R.I.) has been named to the All-New England team featuring top Division II/III players in the region. The team is selected by the New England Football Writers and honored 30 players representing 20 different teams.

Corvese, the CCC Football Offensive Player of the Year, led the conference in the regular season in a number of offensive categories this year including completion percentage (65.8 percent), passing yards (2,244), and passing yards per game (224.4). He was also tied for the league lead with 22 passing touchdowns. He was also had a strong performance on the ground leading the conference with 11 rushing touchdowns. He averaged 51.6 rushing yards per game ranking him fifth in league. He factored into multiple scores in all 10 of Curry's contests and is currently ranked 15th in Division III in points responsible for (200).  He threw for 300+ yards on two occasions and registered five touchdowns twice. He led the Colonels to an appearance in the second annual New England Bowl. He closed the year with 2,468 passing yards for 23 touchdowns. On the ground, Corvese accounted for 511 yards and 11 touchdowns. Corvese's strong week-to-week performance earned him five CCC Football Offensive Player of the Week honors (Sept. 16, Sept. 23, Oct. 7, Oct. 21, and Nov. 11). He led the Colonels to a New England Bowl appearance this season. Corvese was one of four CCC Football honorees on the All-New England team.
