BUZZARDS BAY, Mass. – The fifth Grinold Chapter New England Division III weekly rankings of the 2017 season have been released and the Curry College football team has fallen one spot from last week and sits in a tie for seventh place. The Colonels were victorious in their last contest, a 46-16 win over Nichols in Commonwealth Coast Football play on Saturday afternoon.

The New England Division III Football Poll is presented by the Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation, which also serves as the title sponsor of the weekly Gold Helmet Awards presented by the New England Football Writers Association throughout the season.

Plymouth State stays firm in third with 96 points and tallied the final first-place vote. Framingham State sits in fourth place with 76 points while Salve Regina rounds out the top five with 73 points.

Husson (64), Curry (63), Western Connecticut (63), MIT (37) and Middlebury (35) round out the bottom half of the poll.

The Colonels look to make it four straight wins when they travel to Endicott on Saturday at 12:00 p.m.
