The Colonels would strike first in the road matchup on Paolino Field Tuesday afternoon, George Calderon (New York, NY) batting a single to center field, notching two RBIs to grant Curry a 2-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Two batters later, Jhonathan Oliveira (Peabody, Mass.) notched a sacrifice fly to left field, allowing Drew Fagala (San Antonio, Texas) to score, pushing the Curry lead to 3-0.

In the top of the third inning with Brandon Polanco (Brownsville, NY) on first, Curry's Joan Peralta (Brownsville, NY) would notch his first home run of the season. The two-RBI shot to right field grabbed the Colonels a 5-0 lead over the hosting Hawks in the top of the third inning.

The bottom of the third inning saw the first of the Hawks' runs tallied on the board, Matt Falvey marking a two-RBI homer to put his side on the board. Five additional runs for the Hawks through the bottom of the fourth inning would grant Roger Williams a 7-5 lead over Curry.

The final Colonels run of the matchup would come by way of a solo home run by freshman catcher Chris Faraca (Peabody, Mass.), bringing Curry College to a 9-7 lead. The solo shot to center field in the top of the seventh would notch Faraca's first collegiate home run for the Colonels.
