MILTON, Mass. – David Griffin '18 (Hanover, Mass.) is the next to be featured in our Alumni Spotlight series. He was a Business Management major and a member of the Curry College baseball program.

Current place of employment: Gary SouthShore RailCats (American Association of Professional Baseball)

Current job title and what does that position entail? Pitcher

How did being a student-athlete at Curry assist in preparing you for your career? Being a student-athlete helped me set my priorities straight as well as knowing how to network. Curry helped me find a good balance between schoolwork, work, baseball, friends, and family.

What piece of advice would you have for current Curry College student-athletes? Cherish every moment. It flies by faster than you think. One minute you're a freshman at your first practice and suddenly it's your Senior Day.

What is your most fond memory of Curry College Athletics? Winning the CCC Championship in 2015 and getting the program's first NCAA Tournament win.

What would you say were your greatest athletic and academic accomplishments at Curry College? Probably winning the CCC Championship and getting the win in the NCAA Tournament. As much success as I had on the field all four seasons, I also was Academic All-Conference for three seasons as well as graduating with a 3.5 GPA.

Why did you choose Curry College? I chose Curry because my dad had gone there and Curry was the only place that believed in me not only as an athlete, but as a student as well.
