SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior David Griffin (Hanover, Mass.) has been selected as this week's Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. Additionally, Griffin was tabbed as the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III North Pitcher of the Week. 

Griffin was dominant in a 3-0 complete-game shutout of CCC rival Gordon on Saturday.  In seven innings of work, he allowed just two hits and two walks, while striking out a career-high 13 batters, one off the single-game high in CCC-only play this season.  Griffin retired seven consecutive batters early in the contest as well as the final 10 batters he faced, eight on strikeouts.

Griffin and the Colonels return to the diamond on Wednesday when they host Bridgewater State at 3:30 p.m.
