More Post-Season Baseball Awards Announced; Sweeney Named ECAC Player of the Year
MILTON, Mass. - Three different organizations have released their Division III Baseball Awards for the recently-concluded 2010 season.

The ECAC has named Curry College senior outfielder Tim Sweeney (Walpole, Mass.) as its New England Player of the Year. In addition, Sweeney was selected as a First Team All-Star. Joining their teammate as ECAC Second Team All-Stars were junior catcher Brad Hawn (Chino Hills, Calif.) and senior designated hitter Tony Luciani (Weymouth, Mass.).

D3baseball.com also released its National All-America Team. Sweeney was chosen as a Third-Team All-American.

Finally, the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) announced both its All-New England Teams and its Division III Senior All-Star Game representatives. Sweeney and Hawn were named Second Team All-New England, while senior pitcher Cory Moore (Lynn, Mass.) was named Third Team All-New England.

Sweeney and Moore both appear on the 16-man NEIBA Division III Senior All-Star roster. The annual collegiate showcase against a team of Division II All-Stars will be played at Fenway Park on Sunday, June 6 at 3:00 p.m.
