Three Curry Tennis Student-Athletes Earn CSC Academic All-District Recognition

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Three members of the Curry College men's and women's tennis teams earned Academic All-District selections from the College Sports Communicators on Tuesday afternoon.

The lone representative the men's team was senior captain and accounting/business administration double major Nick Bell (Haverhill, Mass.).

A pair of student-athlete from the Curry women's team earned the honor. Senior captain and nursing major Sophia Wiernusz (Collegeville, Pa.) and junior nursing major Sasha Borkov (Newton, Mass.) earned recognition. 

To be eligible for the Academic All-District Team, an athlete must be at least a sophomore academically, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50, and be a starter or significant reserve on their respective team.

As Academic All-District honorees, all three Colonels earn spots on the ballot for Academic All-America recognition, which will be announced later this month.
