Quinn and Correa Earn CCC Weekly Honors

BIDDEFORD, Maine - Two Curry College student-athletes earned recognition from the Commonwealth Coast Conference on Monday afternoon.

Football freshman Montie Quinn (Goose Creek, S.C.) earned the CCC's Offensive Rookie of the Week for the fifth consecutive week, while women's soccer sophomore goalkeeper Hannah Correa (Carver, Mass.) was named the CCC Defensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career.

Quinn rushed the ball 19 times for 107 yards and one touchdown on Saturday in Curry's loss to Husson University. His touchdown run came from 49 yards out. He also caught five passes for 30 yards.

Correa allowed just one goal on 14 shots faced this week as the Colonels picked up a pair of key CCC victories. She opened the week with a seven-save shutout in a 1-0 victory over Roger Williams on Tuesday, before making six saves on seven shots against Suffolk on Saturday. Her only goal against came on a penalty kick.

Quinn and the Curry football program will hit the road on Saturday, continuing CCC play with a matchup against Western New England University. Correa and the women's soccer team will take on Endicott College on Wednesday afternoon.
