Six Colonels Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Six members of the Curry College men's and women's basketball programs were named Tuesday to the Academic All-District Teams, as selected by the College Sports Communicators.

Representing the Curry women's basketball team were senior forwards Kathryn Dunn (Hanson, Mass.) and Kristyanna Remillard (Abington, Mass.) and sophomore guards Kylie McCarthy (Beverly, Mass.) and Emerson Cherry (Sturbridge, Mass.).

The Curry men's basketball program was represented by senior guards Angelo Sardegna (Tampa, Fla.) and Mike August (Stratford, Conn.).

To be eligible for the Academic All-District Team, an athlete must be at least a sophomore academically, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50, and be a starter or significant reserve on their respective team.

As Academic All-District honorees, all six Colonels earn spots on the ballot for Academic All-America recognition, which will be announced in March.
