Baseball & Softball Each Earn Three CSC Academic All-District Selections

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Three members each from the Curry College baseball and softball teams were named on Tuesday afternoon to the Academic All-District teams, as voted by the College Sports Communicators.

Representing the Curry baseball team were senior outfieder Conor Hanlon (Beverly, Mass.), senior pitcher Cameron Herndon (Floresville, Texas), and junior pitcher Ryan Kirkpatrick (Cumberland, R.I.).

From the softball team, senior catcher Madison Schwartz (Bridgewater, Mass.) and junior infielders Jordan Ferullo (Burlington, Mass.) and Taylor McDermott (Durham, Conn.) earned recognition.

To be eligible for the Academic All-District Team, an athlete must be at least a sophomore academically, have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50, and be a starter or significant reserve on their respective team.

As Academic All-District honorees, all six Colonels earn spots on the ballot for Academic All-America recognition, which will be announced in June.
