Dave MacKenzie joins Curry College as an Assistant Coach with primary responsibilities to include coordinating video and statistical analysis. MacKenzie joins the program after having graduated and working with Merrimack College for the past 7 years.

MacKenzie was a defenseman on Merrimack's ACHA club team and a 2-year captain. During his time the Warriors earned their first-ever national ranking and made the playoffs each year they were eligible.

After graduating MacKenzie started his coaching career returning to help out with his former team. He also has worked as an assistant coach and shooter for Stop It Goaltending with Brian Daccord and his staff, Silverthorn Goaltending Academy with Steve Silverthorn, a former Bentley University Coach, and MicroIce Training Centers with Dave Breen, a previous Curry and Bentley Coach, and is now at Merrimack.

While a student and after graduation, MacKenzie worked closely with the Division I Warriors for both the men's and women's teams. Duties included inputting official NCAA stats including plus/minus, shot charts, shots on goal, and others, managing student workers, and other general operations duties as needed.

"I'm very excited for the opportunity to join the Curry staff and look forward to the next chapter of my coaching career. I want to thank Coach Manastersky for giving me the opportunity and look forward to continuing to grow and develop as a coach."
