Men's Soccer Blanked at Western New England, 4-0

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Curry College men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 conference decision to Western New England University on Saturday afternoon at Suprenant Field.

The Golden Bears scored all four of its goals in the second half, coming from four different players. Goalkeeper Dylan Husted (South Deerfield, Mass.) improved to 3-0 with the shutout, facing zero shots.

Western New England struck for the game's first goal in the 56th minute as Ty Champagne (Watertown, Conn.) connected on a shot off a pass from Corey Brown (Somers, Conn.). Connor Prindle (Shelton, Conn.) got in the scoring column with a goal coming at the 67:10 mark. The assist on the marker went to Charlie Argyle (Marshfield, Mass.). Argyle and Joseph Fortuna (Burlington, Conn.) registered unassisted tallies for the final two goals.

Curry put up two shots in the game—one from Austin Foley (Milford, Conn.) and one from Claudio Orsini (Watertown, Conn.). Colonels' goalkeeper Dylan Griffin (Hornell, N.Y.) finished with nine saves in defeat.

Curry (6-9-1 overall, 0-6-0 CCC) will next play at home against Roger Williams University on Wednesday, October 17 at 4:00 p.m. Western New England (9-4-2 overall, 2-2-2 CCC) returns to action at Springfield College on Monday, October 15 at 7:00 p.m.
