Women's Cross Country Places 38th at the James Early Invitational

WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Curry College Women's Cross Country Team finished 38th out of 41 teams at the James Early Invitational (Westfield State) on Saturday morning.  The Colonels finished with a team score of 1218 points.   The University of New England came in first place with 65 points. 

Curry was led by junior Victoria Gately (Hanson, Mass.) who placed 213 with a time of 27:31.  Gately was followed by seniors Lydia Hixson (West Hartford, Conn.), 28:28 (244th) and Emilee Purdy (Franklin, Mass.), 29:23 (244th), freshman Amy Burgess (Ocala, Fla.), 35:19 (265th), juniors Caitlyn De Serres (Barre, Vt.), 37:11 (266th) and Dawn Martinsen (Duxbury, Mass.), 40:46 (271st) and freshman Danielle Gagnon (Agawam, Mass.), 47:22 (273rd). 

Curry heads to the Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship (Western New England) on Saturday, October 28 at 1:00 p.m.
