Lauren DeSousa enters her third season working with the Colonels, specializing as the team's goalkeepers coach in 2021. The Taunton native and resident graduated from Coyle and Cassidy High School in 2014 and played on the varsity team each of her four years at the school, serving as a team captain in her junior and senior seasons. Following high school, DeSousa received a partial scholarship to play at Pace University in New York. After a successful season with the Setters, she continued her collegiate career with Bridgewater State University. With the Bears, DeSousa was named to the MASCAC Second Team All-Conference after her sophomore and senior seasons. Following her junior season in 2016, she was named MASCAC Player of the Year and headed the All-Conference First Team. She was named captain in both her junior and senior seasons at Bridgewater State. She ended her career as the BSU leader in career shutouts with 24.0, breaking the record that was set in 1995 (21.5). She earned her Bachelor's in Social Work from Bridgewater State University in 2018 and has recently been accepted to their Master's program.

Apart from Curry, DeSousa is currently coaching with FC Stars of Massachusetts, working specifically with their goalkeepers.
