2020 Curry College Women's Lacrosse Season Outlook

SCHEDULE | ROSTER

MILTON, Mass. – The Curry College women's lacrosse team kicks off its 2020 season on Saturday, February 29 at 12:00 p.m. traveling to Smith College. The Colonels bring back a strong amount of their student-athletes from last year (15) and looks to earn a spot in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Tournament for the second consecutive season.

WHAT TO LOOK FORWARD TO

Top goal scorers senior Abby Dubel (Wolfeboro, N.H.) and junior Katie Parker (Branford, Conn.) return to the squad with their team-leading, 42 and 35 goals respectively. The team also returns eight of its next nine top scorers from a season ago.  

Sophomore goalie Jessica Ginaitt (Warwick, R.I.) returns between the net with her 165 saves, which ranked fourth in the conference.

This year marks the second season of Anne O'Byrne.

Coach O'Byrne has brought in a recruiting class of six student-athletes who will contribute right away.

Dubel along with fellow seniors Courtney Lima (New Bedford, Mass.), Kayla Merritt (Attleboro, Mass.), and Leona Stevens (Kingston, Mass.) will be looked upon to help guide the team this year.

THREE GAMES TO WATCH

Curry's first home game is Tuesday, March 3 against Eastern Connecticut State University at 4:00 p.m.

The Colonels open CCC play when they host Nichols on Saturday, March 21 at 2:30 p.m.

The squads' last home game will be held on Tuesday, April 21 against Salve Regina University at 4:00 p.m.
