SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) announced its 2019 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference teams and two Curry College student-athletes were recognized. Junior Abby Dubel (Wolfeboro, N.H.) was named Second Team All-CCC while sophomore Allie Wysocki (Agawam, Mass.) earned a nod to the Third Team.
Dubel has played in all 17 games this season, making 17 starts. She has tallied a team-high 39 goals and has one assist for 40 points. Dubel also leads the teams in ground balls (91), draw controls (89), and registered a team-high 49 caused turnovers. 13 of her goals came off of free position shots. She ranks 12th in the conference in goals, third in draw controls, first in ground balls, and first in caused turnovers. Dubel was named as the CCC Defensive Player of the Week on April 8.
Wysocki earned Third Team honors after she saw time in 16 regular season games, starting in 15 of them. She recorded 26 goals and three assists for 29 points. Fiver of her markers came off free position shots. Additionally, she scooped up 28 ground balls, had 16 draw controls, and 16 caused turnovers.
Dubel, Wysocki, and Curry (10-7 overall, 4-4 CCC) have qualified for the CCC Championship Tournament and will host Western New England University on Saturday, April 27 at 3:00 p.m.
