MILTON, Mass. – Emily Whitney's (Rye, N.H.) goal with 6:55 remaining in the second half proved to be the difference for the Endicott women's lacrosse team on Wednesday night as the Gulls claimed a 10-9 victory over Curry College at Walter M. Katz Field.

Jackie Neilsen (Agawam, Mass.) set up the would-be game-winner when she found Whitney cutting into the center of the scoring area from the top of arc for her fourth and final tally of the game (20th of the season). Endicott goalie Maura Grady (Marblehead, Mass.) also came up huge down the stretch stopping a free position shot with 2:29 remaining in the contest to preserve the win.

Whitney led the Gulls offensively with four tallies, while Ali Campbell (Lakeville, Mass.) and Erin McCarthy (Old Lyme, Conn.) contributed two goals apiece. Olivia Larson (Cheshire, Conn.) and Jackie Healy (Northborough, Mass.) also added one goal each to round out the scoring. In addition to her two goals, Campbell dished out a game-high three assists to finish as the points leader on the night with a career-high five points.

Malorie Knowlton (Norfolk, Mass.) registered a hat-trick to guide Curry's offensive efforts, while Kelly Parker (Branford, Conn.) and Abby Carnevale (Beverly, Mass.) chipped in with two goals each in the loss. Lauren Carroll (Providence, R.I.) and Hannah Peper (Wayland, Mass.)notched one goal, respectively, to account for the remainder of the Colonels' offense in the matchup.

Tonight's game featured six ties and two lead changes before all was said and done. Endicott's largest lead in the first half was two goals (2-0, 3-1, 4-2), which occurred on three separate occasions, before Curry closed the gap at halftime, 6-6. The Gulls then showed poise in the second half after giving up the lead early by tying up the game at 7-7 at the 24:03 mark of the contest prior to fending off several rallies from the Colonels with Whitney's eventual game-winner.

• Annie Douglas (Manchester, N.H.) stopped six shots and collected four ground balls in the loss.
• Alexis Cran (Branford, Conn.) won a team-high three draw controls.
