Cran and Knowlton Earn All-CCC Women's Lacrosse Honors

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.  - Student-athletes from eight member institutions in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) were represented on the 2015 All-CCC Women's Lacrosse Team. In addition to the all-conference team, winners of five major individual awards and the team sportsmanship award were also selected.

Two Curry student-athletes earned all-conference honors;  Alexis Cran (2nd Team) and Malorie Knowlton (3rd Team).

Western New England senior Kaitlynn Stevens was named CCC Offensive Player of the Year while her teammate Emily Castleman was honored as the CCC Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year. University of New England graduate student Johanna Currier was selected as the CCC Defensive Player of the Year. Roger Williams' freshman Kaelin Hogan was tabbed CCC Rookie of the Year.  Western New England's Aimee Klepacki was honored as the three-time CCC Coach of the Year, and Nichols College was the recipient of the Team Sportsmanship Award.

Voting for the All-CCC team and each of the major awards was conducted among CCC women's lacrosse coaches.

Joining Stevens (attack), Currier (defense) and Castleman (goalkeeper) on the first team were attackers Meghan Lennon (Endicott), Gina Newsome (University of New England), Kelsey Rahilly (Roger Williams) and Taylor Scialdone (Western New England), midfielders Ellie Clayman (Endicott), Deven Machette (Roger Williams) and Jessica Scannapieco (Western New England), defenders Emma Norden (Western New England), Elizabeth Reda (Endicott) and Caitlin Shanahan (Roger Williams).

Second team selections include attackers Jessica Castelline (Gordon), McKenna Everding (Roger Williams) and Brooke Kumnick (Western New England), midfielders Tori Cirocco (Western New England), Mackenzie Logan (Roger Williams), Rachel Schwaner (University of New England), and Emily Whitney (Endicott), defenders Elizabeth Cahn (Roger Williams), Megan Clune (Western New England), Alexis Cran (Curry), Jacqueline Pilatti (Salve Regina)  and Aly Towle (Gordon), and goalkeeper Maura Grady (Endicott).

Joining Hogan on the third team were attackers Kaitlin Gillespie (Salve Regina) and Bailey Grinnell (Gordon), midfielders Malorie Knowlton (Curry), Sarah Stevens (Western New  England) and Hannah Warren (University of New England), defenders Mary-Ashley Donelan (Salve Regina), Jolena Lampron (University of New England) and Stephanie Mathewson (Nichols), and goalkeepers Kimberly Bolk (Roger Williams) and Katie Jones (Salve Regina).
