SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Senior captain Emily Irwin (Billerica, Mass.) of the Curry College women's basketball team has been named to the Honor Roll of the New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) weekly awards.

Irwin posted more monster averages this week. She averaged a double-double with 21.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. She also averaged 6.0 assists and 6.3 steals during the week. She opened the week with a near triple-double as she scored 18 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and made nine steals against MCLA. She also had seven assists in the contest. She followed that up with another double-double as she scored 22 points and collected 13 rebounds against Roger Williams while handing out another seven assists. She finished the week with 25 points, four rebounds, four assists, and five steals against Salve Regina.

The New England Women's Basketball Association (NEWBA) provides support for coaches from the New England Region. Membership in NEWBA is open to all Division III head coaches from the region who have a vested interest in the welfare of the organization. At the conclusion of each season, the NEWBA sponsors the Senior All-Star Classic.
