MILTON, Mass. -  Curry College freshman guard Emily Irwin (Billerica, Mass.) has been named as the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week.  Irwin and the Curry Colonels went 2-1 this week. Irwin was instrumental in her team's non-conference win against Suffolk on Tuesday (Jan. 12) as she recorded 19 points, four assists, and six steals. She continued to be a force defensively on Thursday (Jan.14) in a conference matchup against Roger Williams as she came away with 10 takeaways.  She closed out the week with an 11-point contest in a 70-58 victory over Nichols on Saturday (Jan. 16). For the week, Irwin averaged 10.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 6.3 steals per game.
